WP-Members Beta Release Candidate 2 was pushed out to wordpress.org this morning. I have high expectations that this will be the final package and expect it to be pushed out to production soon.

Please let me remind everyone that this is a tricky upgrade. It is huge on the back end of the code for the plugin, but as far as features go, it shouldn’t look any different than what you’re running now. Continue Reading →

WP-Members Stop Spam Registrations Extension

Today, I’ve added another free plugin available from RocketGeek.com – WP-Members Stop Spam Registrations.

This is an extension for WP-Members that validates registrations through the stopforumspam.com API, checking the user’s registered email and IP address against spam data. The plugin hooks into not only WP-Members’ registration process, but WP’s native registration as well, so as to prevent “back-door” spam registrations. Continue Reading →
